There are few things I love more than hopping on a train to get away into New York City.  That being said, it was so nice to go grab lunch with my little sister the other day at one of our city favorites, Tacombi.

If you've never been, then you have no idea what you're missing out on. Nestled in the heart of Nolita, you sit down and feel like your on a street somewhere tropical with string lights hanging and tacos being made out of a repurposed VW truck.

It's really such a great place, and especially growing up in California with excellent Mexican food, it's so refreshing to find that close to home here on the east coast.

When (not if, because you have to go) you find your way to Tacombi- I recommend the pollo adobo tacos (2 are usually plenty for me), and the agua de sandia (basically watermelon juice) that's made fresh every day. All of it is so.good.

What are your favorite NYC food spots?
